La Huera Designs was founded in 2016 by Hilary Schwartz.  Hilary grew up in the foothills of the San Gabriel Mountains--spending many hours hiking, running and riding horses on the trail ridges which inspire many of her pieces.  The draw to nature is evident in her jewelry, allowing an escape from the chaos of life.  Hilary has always had an interest in metal, texture and rock; giving her pieces a raw, organic look.  Most of her pieces incorporate stones, such as turquoise which represents strength, vitality and peace--qualities she hopes transfer to those adorning her work.  The name La Huera comes from the spanish slang word, La Guera, given to her by some of her close friends.
